Could be either. The $49 diagnostic identifies which — sometimes the controller IC has dry-jointed or failed; sometimes the physical port has bent pins. We quote each separately.
Will my recordings / settings be preserved?
Yes — we do board-level repair on your existing motherboard rather than swapping the board. Your media, camera profiles, and calibration stay intact.
Why don't BMPCC HDMI issues get fixed by BlackMagic warranty?
Most BMPCC HDMI failures happen out of warranty (cameras 2+ years old). BlackMagic's service network is limited and often returns the camera with a board swap (you lose your existing media + calibration). Our board-level repair keeps your existing camera intact.
Can I mail-in from outside Manitoba?
